Van Os challenges Abbott to meet him on Whistlestop Tour

Van Os challenges Abbott to meet him on Whistlestop Tour to answer:

"What have you done to protect the people from Big Oil, the Insurance Monopolists, giant homebuilders, and other corporate robber barons? Why did you file a partisan brief in federal court siding with Tom DeLay?"

As David Van Os continues his Whistlestop Tour of all 254 Texas counties, he sends incumbent Attorney General Greg Abbott his schedule for each week and challenges Abbott to meet him in public.

Today, Van Os faxed Abbott his schedule for this week and stated, "Again, I challenge you to appear at any or all these times and places and advise the people what you have done to protect them from the depredations of Big Oil, the Insurance Monopolists, giant homebuilder companies, and other corporate robber barons. You should also be prepared to explain your recent filing of a partisan brief in the federal court of appeals taking Tom DeLay's side."

At the end of last week's tour, Van Os made his 118th courthouse stop at the LaSalle County courthouse in Cotulla. See previous posts for this and next week's WhistleStops, which including presentations at Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC) hearings.
